Kristen is a Product Manager on Firebase. Her mission is to help developers build apps, understand how they're used, and then grow their user base.

Francis Ma

Group Product Manager, Google

Francis Ma is a Group Product Manager at Google and leads the Firebase product management team. Prior to his current role, he was a PM lead on Android focusing on building the Android developer ecosystem.

Before joining Google in 2011, Francis was an entrepreneur and tech startup co-founder. Prior to that, he worked at Amazon.com as a Software Engineering Manager.

Francis earned his bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

Sam Ramji

VP Product Management, Developer Platforms, Google

A 20+ year veteran of the Silicon Valley and Seattle technology scenes, Sam Ramji is VP of Product Management for Google Cloud Platform (GCP). He was the founding CEO of Cloud Foundry Foundation, was Chief Strategy Officer for Apigee, designed and led Microsoft's open source strategy, founded the Outercurve Foundation, and drove product strategy for BEA WebLogic Integration.

Previously he built distributed systems and client software at firms including Broderbund, Fair Isaac, and Ofoto. He is an advisor to multiple companies including Accenture, Insight Engines, and the Linux Foundation, and served on the World Economic Forum’s Industrial Internet Working Group. He received his B.S. in Cognitive Science from UCSD in 1994.

Sarah Allen

Engineering Manager, Google

Sarah Allen created early web platforms for real-time apps with Shockwave and Flash Media Server. She led a mobile development company, Blazing Cloud, developing many native mobile and web apps. She now leads the Cloud for Mobile server engineering on the Firebase team at Google. Sarah believes that software should be seriously fun, and that there is magic in making powerful tools that spark imagination and challenge us all to keep learning and inventing.

Arda Atali

Software Engineer, Google

Arda is the Engineering Lead for the Remote Config team at Firebase. Before his current role, he was working on providing configuration mechanisms similar to Remote Config for Google’s own apps, as well as over-the-air system updates and device provisioning in Android.

After earning his Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of California at Santa Barbara, Arda spent several years building distributed messaging and storage systems at Amazon Web Services.

Arda’s passion is providing the right building blocks to creative minds for them to build the most amazing applications.

Ali Abdelhadi

Product Manager, Google

Ali is a Product Manager on Firebase, and has been a Googler for more than 5 years. He has a background in Biomedical Engineering and Software Development. Ali spent a few years working with internet publishers and IT customers on various projects as a consultant before working as a Product Manager. He now helps the new generation of startups build great products using Firebase!

Jumana Al Hashal

Product Manager, Google

Jumana is a Product Manager at Google. Before joining Google she built mobile products at Zillow. Jumana loves helping developers grow their apps and build delightful experiences for their users. She enjoys traveling, scuba diving, hula hooping, and prickly machine learning problems. Jumana holds a master's degree from the University of Washington.

Thomas Bouldin

Software Engineer, Google

Thomas is the Tech Lead of Cloud Functions for Firebase. Before Cloud Functions, Thomas contributed to the Firebase Realtime Database, backend reliability, and Firebase SDKs. Previously, Thomas has worked on Parse, Google Image Search infrastructure, and Microsoft Windows. Thomas earned his bachelor's degree in Software Engineering at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a focus on computer graphics and operating systems & security.

Mike Bonnell

Developer Advocate, Google

Mike is a developer advocate for Firebase and leads the Fabric Developer Relations team at Google. He helps developers focus on building amazing apps with the insights provided by Fabric and Firebase. If you ever reached out to Fabric support, you’ve probably chatted with Mike.

Justin Broughton

Tech Lead Manager, Google

Justin Broughton has worked at Google for three years on building tools and infrastructure for developers. He is the Tech Lead and Manager for Firebase Test Lab. Prior to this, he was VP of Engineering at a number of companies, working on building software in such diverse areas as Contact Centers and Health-Gaming. He has previously spoken at Google I/O, VMWorld, Interactions, and many other external and internal conferences.

Jonny Dimond

Software Engineer, Google

Jonny is a Software Engineer for Firebase at Google. At Firebase, he helps create great client libraries across all platforms. Jonny grew up in Germany where he worked for a medical software startup before moving to the US to join Firebase. Jonny has a diploma in computer science from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.

James Daniels

Developer Programs Engineer, Google

James is a full-stack developer with a passion for Open Source. He works on Firebase at Google where he helps with Developer Relations, documentation, workshops, and maintenance of the Firebase SDKs.

Alex Dufetel

Product Manager, Google

Alex Dufetel is a Product Manager for the Firebase team at Google, working on Backend-as-a-Service products such as the Realtime Database and Cloud Firestore. Alex was previously Director of Products at Fuze, a video conferencing and enterprise communications provider and, before that, a co-founder of LiveMinutes, a real-time team collaboration app.

Kat Fang

Software Engineer, Google

Kat is the Tech Lead for Cloud Storage for Firebase, previously working on the iOS SDK and backend for the Realtime Database. Kat graduated from MIT with bachelor's and master's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. When she's unplugged, she spends her time dancing, skating, and playing escape-the-room puzzle games.

Andrea Falcone

Software Engineer, Google

Andrea Falcone is a Senior Software Engineer at Google, in the Developer Product Group. She has been on the team since 2013 and works on many parts of Fabric, building the Android tooling, including Android Studio Plugin, Crashlytics Android SDK, Gradle plugin, Beta by Crashlytics and fastlane.

Emily Fortuna

Software Engineer, Google

Emily is a Software Engineer on the Dart programming language team, making Flutter efficient, fast, and easy to use. In her 20% time she works on improving fairness in Machine Learning. When not hacking on computers she can be found acting on the stage or screen.

Susan Goldblatt

Software Engineer, Google

Susan is a Software Engineer at Google on the Firebase team. Prior to working at Google, she wrote a Computer Science curriculum that has been taught in schools across the US, traveled the world, and worked as a Software Engineer at a startup based out of NYC. Outside of work, Susan competes in pie competitions, is an avid fan of rap music, and hosts a book/movie club.

Erik Haddad

UX Engineer, Google

Erik Haddad is a UX Engineer at Google on the Firebase team in San Francisco. Prior to joining Google, Erik was an Advanced Development Engineer at ESPN and Disney.

Abe Haskins

Firebase Engineer, Google

Abe Haskins is an engineer for Firebase at Google and has been a Firebase developer for a long time. Prior to joining the team at Google he ran a Firebase-focused consulting company. He spends his days working with people who build great things on Firebase and building open-source Firebase tooling to help them.

Subir Jhanb

Software Engineer, Google

Subir is the Engineering Lead for the Cloud Messaging team at Firebase. He has created many large scale systems at Google including Google Cloud Messaging and Android Sync infrastructure. With over 10 years of experience in mobile technologies and distributed systems, Subir has designed many APIs, messaging, and data synchronization solutions for all mobile platforms. Subir believes that software should be simple, easy to scale and enable us to do powerful things.

Todd Kerpelman

Developer Advocate, Google

Todd Kerpelman is a Developer Advocate at Google, which means he primarily spends his time making YouTube videos and somehow convincing Google to pay him for it. As of last year, he's been spending most of his time talking about Firebase. Todd has two small children, so his hobbies primarily consist of falling asleep on the couch, attending Moana-themed birthday parties, and reminiscing about the days when he wasn't too tired to have actual hobbies.

Felix Krause

Software Engineer, Google

Felix is the creator of fastlane, an open source toolset for automating all your iOS and Android development tasks. He joined Twitter in 2015, and recently started working at Google, where he now works full-time on open source tooling for mobile app developers. Before that, Felix worked at various startups in Europe and in the U.S. where he collected over 6 years of experience in the iOS ecosystem.

Andrew Lee

Engineering Director, Google

Andrew co-founded Firebase in 2011 and served as CTO until Firebase joined Google. He is now an engineering lead for Firebase, focusing on infrastructure products including the Realtime Database, Hosting, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Storage. Andrew lives and works in San Francisco.

Lauren Long

Software Engineer, Google

Lauren is a Software Engineer at Google, working on Cloud Functions for Firebase. Prior to joining Google, Lauren co-founded the storage-on-demand startup Boxit, and was the first Product Manager at wearable tech company Nymi. Lauren has spoken internationally about entrepreneurship and technology. In her spare time, she enjoys swing dancing, rock climbing, and writing.

Josh Liebowitz

Software Engineer, Google

Josh is an engineer at Google working on fastlane, an open source tool for iOS and Android developers focused on making building and releasing apps easier. He learned about the lifecycle of app development as a tech lead of Apple’s iTunes University iOS app, and more recently, he has been building iOS apps at Twitter as well as Google.

Mike McDonald

Product Manager, Google

Mike helps developers build better mobile apps as a Product Manager and iOS engineer on the Firebase team. Mike has been working on Firebase for three years, and has worked developing iOS apps at the Omni Group and building microprocessors at Texas Instruments. In his free time, he enjoys spending time in the outdoors, cooking, and hacking on embedded hardware.

Laurence Moroney

Developer Advocate, Google

Laurence is a Developer Advocate at Google working on Firebase and Geo. He's the author of dozens of books, including an upcoming one on Firebase, covering many years and styles of software development. He's also host of the YouTube show 'Coffee with a Googler' and is regularly seen in videos on the Google Developers Channel.

Chris Oryschak

Product Manager, Google

Chris is a Product Manager working on Cloud Functions for Firebase. He helps developers build apps using serverless architecture. Chris joined Firebase from the Fabric team at Twitter where he worked on Digits phone authentication and the suite of Fabric mobile apps.

Jen Person

Developer Advocate, Google

Jen is a Developer Advocate for Firebase at Google. She is a training expert, loves building iOS apps, and recently has been teaching developers how to integrate Cloud Functions into their Firebase apps. Jen graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Central Connecticut State University.

Doug Stevenson

Developer Advocate, Google

Doug is a veteran engineer, experienced public speaker, and Developer Advocate at Google with the Firebase team. He's been developing for Android since the very first Android device was on the market, and has bootstrapped the efforts of Silicon Valley startups. Outside of work, Doug follows professional ice hockey and enjoys craft beer.

Tim Stirrat

UX Engineer, Google

Tim Stirrat is a UX Engineer for Firebase at Google. He has contributed to the Firebase Realtime Database, Hosting and Authentication products. Prior to joining Google, he worked in Enterprise Content Management and airline UX. Outside of tech, he is a regular football (soccer) player.

Emily Shack

Software Engineer, Google

Emily has been a software engineer at Google for over two years. She is an expert on the Flutter framework, and is passionate about exploring the intersection between machine learning and user interface design. She received her bachelor's degree in computer science from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota.

Jason St. Pierre

Jason is a Product Manager for Crashlytics on Firebase. Prior to Firebase he worked at several start-ups, Apple, and then Twitter as part of the Fabric team. Jason has worked in mobile for over 10 years and the past few years has been focused on building tools that help developers ship their amazing apps faster and keep them stable.
