What is Firebase Summit?

Firebase Summit is our annual developer conference. It's a great opportunity to learn about Firebase products, provide feedback to the Firebase team, and connect with the Firebase developer community.

What activities are involved?

Firebase Summit includes a variety of live and on-demand learning opportunities, including:

  • Pathways: Self-guided tutorials that help you learn more about Firebase products through articles, videos and hands-on codelabs
  • "What's New in Firebase" product keynote: An opportunity to hear directly from Firebasers on new features, updates and announcements
  • #AskFirebase Live: A live Q&A session with a panel of Firebasers to answer all your burning questions
  • Technical Sessions: Deep dive talks on Firebase products
  • Demos: Fun and interactive ways to learn more about Firebase

Access

Do I need to register to join the event?

No, you do not need to register to access content but encourage you to do so in order to receive the most up-to-date communications and event announcements.

Will I need a Google account to watch?

No, you do not need a Google account to watch the videos or to participate in the live chat or Q+A.

What is a Google Developer profile?

​​A Google Developer profile makes your experience with Google Developers material easier by letting you save documentation and learning pathway progress. You can also earn badges to share your achievements and for joining the event - for this event, you can collect up to 4 badges that are unique to Firebase Summit 2021.

Is there a Code of Conduct of the event?

Attendees, please review our Community Guidelines to ensure that Firebase Summit is a harassment-free and inclusive event experience for everyone. At Firebase Summit, we take our Community Guidelines seriously, and all attendees, speakers, and staff at our event are required to agree to these guidelines. What is a learning pathway?

You can grow your knowledge and skills at your own pace through sequential learning experiences that include articles, hands-on codelabs, quizzes, and videos. These are self-guided learning experiences that help you learn more about Firebase products. Plus, you can earn Google Developer profile badges for completing these lessons.

Where do I find the learning pathways?

​​You can access all of the learning pathways, under the 'Learn' tab on firebase.google.com/summit/learn. We have three new Firebase Pathways for you to dive even deeper into topics.

Will the sessions be livestreamed? What if I can't follow the event in real time?

​​The keynote and #AskFirebase will be livestreamed directly from the Firebase Summit 2021 website on November 10, starting at 9:30 AM PT. Joining the livestream lets you chat with the Firebase team and other developers while you watch! All sessions, including the keynote and new tech sessions, will be available on demand on firebase.google.com/summit/learn on 11/10.
