Firebase (backend) and Expo (frontend) has helped me kickstart my own electric scooter rental business in the Scandiavian countries, with an audience of around 100K users, continuously growing and expanding to other countries.
Thankful for the awesome people who made Firebase real, and thankful for Google who managed to take it to a whole new level, after releasing Firestore! I have no clue what I'd have done without it.

I was looking for an alternative when Parse (the BaaS by Facebook I think) had stopped working. Loved the realtime feature. The fact that the whole app was in sync with the data was insane. Never stopped using it since them. It has its limits but I really enjoy this solution 🔥
